Gary's experience spans four decades. He started his career in Montana with his father's agency. He later formed his own agency which he successfully built to more than 10 locations, employing 37 agents and staff. He sold the agency and joined Hagan Hamilton in 1994. He now serves as Senior Vice President of Business Insurance.

With his expertise in risk management, Gary helps clients reduce the costs resulting from insured and uninsured losses, which ultimately reduces the costs of insurance premiums. His clients include schools, cities, manufacturers, technology businesses, contractors, agribusinesses, nurseries, jewelers, wineries and vineyards. He currently represents more than 100 wineries and vineyards and more than 100 jewelers in Oregon.

After graduating from Oregon State University in 1996, John worked in the sales industry providing services for loggers, farmers, and companies in the sand and gravel industry. In 2004, he brought his experience to Hagan Hamilton Insurance Services. John specializes in agricultural risk, wineries, vineyards, machine shops, contractors, nurseries, and landscapers.

As a vital force in the Yamhill County insurance industry for over 35 years, Gary owned and operated Hampton Insurance Services in Sheridan. In 2001, he merged Hampton Insurance with Hagan Hamilton Insurance Services. He is licensed in property and casualty insurance, as well as life and health insurance. With his tremendous experience comes knowledge in risk assessment in a variety of key areas including farming, retail, and public entities.

Ryan specializes in Corporate Risk Insurance. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Ryan has more than 15 years experience as a licensed agent and consultant. He can design insurance policies and risk management programs for all types of business. His areas of expertise include financial institutions, manufacturers, loggers, gas and oil distributors, refuse haulers, contractors, and wood products. Ryan also has extensive experience in specialty coverage and programs that include directors and officers insurance, fiduciary liability, employment related practices, bonds, and workers compensation.

Hope has been in the insurance industry since 1980 and joined Hagan Hamilton in 1986. With 28 years in the insurance industry, she has worked with virtually every type of business risk found on the West Coast. She specializes in contractor operations, agriculture risks, churches, distributors, wholesalers, and retail operations. Hope currently serves on the Certified Insurance Counselors Education Committee for the State of Oregon.

Tony graduated with a business degree from Western Oregon State University in 1984. He then worked in the lumber industry for over 20 years both in retail and wholesale. When he joined Hagan Hamilton in 2006, he brought 15 years of management experience with him. He specializes in agricultural risk, contractors, wholesale and retail operations and because of his background experience; he is able to help his clients find the best fit for their needs. Tony works out of our Sheridan office and is actively involved in his community which includes Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, and the Sheridan Fire Department.

After graduating from the University of Oregon in 1978, Bern went to work in the insurance industry when he joined Safeco Insurance. It is there that he completed the Agent Candidate Program. In 1983, he and his father bought the R.F. Hurford agency in Newberg. He took full ownership in 1994 of what was then called the Insurance Exchange. In 2008, the Insurance Exchange and Hagan Hamilton joined forces. With 30 years of experience, Bern will continue to write many types of commercial insurance including: retail, contractors, trucking, Sand and Gravel, as well as specialty contracts in Errors and Omissions and Directors and Officers.
